We came to the decision to get rid of the name “Bawls Deep” and go with a simple “Brown & Maroulis” for the new name of the podcast. On the debut of Brown & Maroulis, we break down everything from the Grammys, who should have won, OKURR, Cardi B, Constantine texting Miley Cyrus’ mom, not winning a Tony Award, and much more. We give out our “Random Thoughts” in a new segment. We wrapped the show discussing whether we will watch the AAF, baseball season about to begin, and more.

On Episode 6 of Bawls Deep with me and Constantine Maroulis, we are joined by former two-time Giants Super Bowl champion kicker Lawrence Tynes on the first half of the show. In the second half of the podcast, we open by singing “Gase’s Eyes,” a remix to the Hall & Oates classic, “Private Eyes.” I wrote it about new Jets head coach Adam Gase and his crazy eyes, and Connie joins me for a fun duet. We also talk about the hire, the Jets & Giants offseason ahead, our predictions for the NFL Championship Sunday games, the Yankees offseason, I go off on the MTV True Life shows, Connie gives out his Netflix picks for the week, and then we debut “Karaoke Connie” as my co-host sings “Shallow” from A Star is Born.

I’m happy to finally be back behind the microphone. After seven long months of not doing a show, I’m back! I just started up a sports, entertainment, and lifestyle podcast with my buddy Constantine Maroulis. We have gone with the name “Bawls Deep with Connie and Jake.”
Constantine aka “Connie” was one the finalists on American Idol, where he is remembered most. He also was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance on broadway in “Rock of Ages.” He’s also starred in Jekyll & Hyde and several other programs, but forever will be remembered from season 4 of American Idol, where 30 million people were watching him every week on FOX.
You can hear Episode 1 of the podcast below on SoundCloud. We are still working on where the podcast is going to live, but for now, enjoy the first episode on SoundCloud. We debate the future of Eli Manning, talk dating and the world of dating apps, we jam to some music, talk American Idol, and a whole lot more.
With The Jake Brown Show now over, my search for a new show is in full effect. I’m stoked to be teaming up with Constantine Maroulis. He has co-hosted a few shows with me and we have some tremendous chemistry and have a lot in common, despite our 15-year age gap, which he hates that I always bring up.
If you don’t know, Maroulis was a Tony-nominated broadway star in Rock of Ages. He gained recognition at first from American Idol, where he finished in the top six in season four, which was eventually won by Carrie Underwood. After Idol, Maroulis took his talents to broadway, while also putting together new music. Many people know “Connie,” which I learned was his nickname, but he also loves sports and is a big Yankees, Giants fan.
Both of us have a strong passion for sports…but we also love music, broadway, musicals, women, food, New York, and all the things that we should love in life. We are passionate when we debate sports, whether it’s Yankees vs. Mets, Giants vs. Jets, basketball, sports talk radio, Mike Francesa, etc. We can talk about this stuff for hours, and now we search for the platform to do it on. We’re going to blend sports, entertainment, and lifestyle, and interview guests from all these fields. Expect debate, banter, big guests, callers, and new segments every week.
Enjoy the demo tape I put together and buckle up for a new show coming soon. We are in the process of pitching the show now to various networks, and hope to be on the airwaves sometime in the coming months. Our goal is to make this a show for not just the huge sports fan, but the casual fan, who also loves music, food, women, and the finer things in life.
Any idea with names would also help as we have many different ones on the table. (Brown and Maroulis, Connie and Jake, Maroulis and The Baldy, Maroulis and the Snake, Jake and The Greek)
My guy Constantine Maroulis joined me to co-host the finale of The Jake Brown Show. Maroulis has co-hosted the show with me before. Our chemistry is incredible together and to end my show, I’m happy to announce that wherever the new show is headed, it will be a new one.
I’m joining forces with the former American Idol and Rock of Ages star for a sports and entertainment show that will change the game. Stay tuned for more details. Constantine and I both have the passion for sports and our teams, and have fiery rants and debates over a plethora of topics. We both also love musicals…one of us was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance. There may also be a third wheel as we add a female in the fold. Buckle up.
