WFAN Weekly Mets Column: Mets Need To Aim High, Sign Keuchel Or Kimbrel

I’m excited to announce that I will now be writing a weekly Mets column for WFAN.com. I know the Mets inside and out and I’m looking forward to writing and ranting and venting about the team that I have rooted for and loved since I was a kid.

In my debut weekly Mets column, I wrote about the team’s struggles and desperate need for some pitching help. Dallas Keuchel and Craig Kimbrel are both out there as free agents and the Mets should be pouncing all over the chance to sign one of them.

WFAN: Mets, Yankees Spring Training Opener: Very Early Reactions (2/23/19)

The Mets beat the Braves and the Yankees lost to the Red Sox in their respective spring training opening games. Pete Alonso homered on the first pitch he saw for the Mets and Gleyber Torres homered in his first at bat for the Yankees. I gave some early reactions for both teams.

WFAN: Why Knicks Future Looks Brighter After Trading Porzingis (2/2/19)

The Knicks shocked a lot of people when they abruptly traded Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks along with Courtney Lee, Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr. In return, they got Dennis Smith Jr., the expiring contracts of DeAndre Jordan and Wesley Matthews, along with two future first-round draft picks. At first, Knicks fans were furious.

As more info came out that Porzingis didn’t wanna be with the Knicks in the future…mixed in with a senseless tweet of a GIF dapping up Luka Doncic, the fan base took a turn on the deal. They also realized that it gives them the opportunity now to sign two max free agents this summer. I explained in my column why the trade actually sets the Knicks up for a hopeful future…if they can make a few splashes in the summer.

WFAN: Hofstra Pride Quietly Rolling As Hottest Team In College Hoops

The Hofstra Pride men’s basketball team is quietly rolling as the hottest team in the nation. They are winners of 16 straight to improve to 19-3 on the season and are undefeated in the CAA. Check out my latest column for WFAN showing love to my school in what has been a tremendous season led by Coach Mihalich and senior guard Justin Wright-Foreman.
