07/06/2014 – The 5th Quarter in New York Sports on AM1240-WGBB

I opened up The 5th Quarter in New York Sports on Long Island’s AM1240-WGBB with Carmelo Anthony talk. I strongly believe the Knicks superstar remains in New York. I gave out many reasons why he will, including Phil Jackson’s trade with the Mavericks.

Where will LeBron goes? I believe he stays in Miami and for several reasons.

Then came my all-time great Jason Kidd rant. The future Hall of Fame point guard disgraced the Nets organization by bolting Brooklyn for Milwaukee after just one year on the sidelines. How idiotic was Kidd? I give out Kidd’s career timeline and all the mistakes he’s made over the years.

In the second half of the show, it was all baseball. The Yankees acquired Brandon McCarthy and designated Alfonso Soriano for assignment. What moves do they need to make to stay alive in the AL East? Can they still win this mediocre division this season? What players can they get before the deadline?

I close out the show talking Mets and their horrid first half of the season. What player do the Mets need to get that they are saying they don’t want right now? What moves can they make that turn them into a playoff team in 2015? Also, how bad has the atmosphere gotten at Citi Field.
